Says Gordon, "Nearly two years ago the concept of Belzona Authorised Coating Centres was created to differentiate regular M & E Contractors from a specialist group of service centres that invested in surface preparation equipment, a dedicated coating room / area that was temperature controlled and on-going commitment to train staff in the techniques of Belzona applications, together with nominating a Belzona Champion to ensure high quality applications that we at Belzona are proud of.

"These centres will focus on rotating equipment, essentially pumps, but also including fans, blowers, screw conveyors, agitators etc. The benefit to the customer will be that we provide a full turnkey service on rotating equipment that offers mechanical repair / replacement and polymeric repair and long term protection.
"Furthermore, this gives us the platform to target key industries such as Petrochemical, Power, Paper and Water which require the TOTAL SERVICE, not just the Belzona Service.
"The benefit to the Service Centre is 'a bolt on' Belzona product sales and labour to existing business coming through the workshop. Furthermore, one of the pre-requisites is for the Coating Centre to have a Authorised to Coat salesforce that promotes the new business opportunity and works closely as partners to achieve sales growth for each company."
On Friday last week Pump Supply & Repair Group (PSRG) were presented with their Authorised Coating Centre certificate by Gordon.
Ian Pendleton of PSRG had this to say "We have built up an excellent relationship with many Belzona personnel over the last 4 years both at Harrogate and with sales personnel across the UK from Aberdeen to Kent. The partnership has allowed us to jointly enter accounts together, to secure business which individually we were unable to do so.
"We have made a significant investment in both training of our personnel & plant equipment as we see enormous potential for coating with Belzona products in all of our vast UK customer base of Power Generation, Paper, Chemicals, Utilities & general industry.
"We must also thank both Gordon Cairns who has supported our sales efforts on a national basis and Mike Brooks who brought us our first job in a Kent paper mill and continues to be a significant source of new business to the Group. We look forward to continued growth for both companies and I am sure we will expand our facilities & personnel to meet this growth."
Another Authorised Coating Centre will be coming on-line soon with WGM Engineering currently gearing up their facilities and the concept will be rolled out in the southern territories later this year.
